Good news indeed! I have predicted repeatedly on this board that the future of transportation will be electric. There will be more innovation in battery technologies in the coming decades. In many ways, material sciences are only at the beginning of their activities. Despite all the progress to come, I do not believe that there will be ever possible to store electrical energy at the same density as fossil fuels do. However, the lacking efficiency of batteries is to a large part compensated by the much greater efficiency of electrical motors.
